Welcome (back) to Andy and Netty’s Reading Challenge 2009September 8, 2009
After a short break in transmission …
Ah yes, now, our regular readers – at last count, all five of you – who eagerly await each month’s installment of A&NRC09 and have been wondering where the devil we’ve gotten to in the past month, well, fret not – we’re back!!
What happened was the company that ran the previous incarnation of our blog shut up shop, leaving us temporarily homeless and hanging out down at the local soup kitchen. And neither of us being terribly technically minded when it comes to this kind 0f thing, Reading Challenge has been in a kind of forced hiatus while we were sorting out a new site, etc. But never fear, literature lovers – the books have been read and the posts are on their way. And eventually, we – or as is more likely, some web-savvy Gen Y type who we manage to coerce into doing it for us – will figure out how to get our 2008-09 archives on to our new site.
So stay tuned for what Andy and I thought of Denis Johnson’s Tree Of Smoke, Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s The Black Swan and, by the end of the month, Poppy Z. Brite’s Liquor.
Better get blogging, then!!
